Expert Water Filtration System Installation in New Jersey

Water filtration system installation is one of the most practical upgrades a homeowner in Morris, Union, or Somerset County can make. Hard water is a known issue across the region, affecting homes in Mendham, Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, and Bedminster, where groundwater picks up calcium and magnesium as it moves through local rock and soil. Municipal water in areas like Summit, Westfield, and Cranford can carry chlorine and disinfection byproducts that affect taste and smell. Homes on private wells in Chester, Long Hill, Far Hills, and Peapack face a different set of concerns, including iron, sediment, and low pH. At Carmine P Aumenta & Sons Plumbing & Heating Inc., we assess your specific water conditions before recommending a system. We install whole-house filtration, point-of-use systems, and water softeners, connecting each unit to your existing plumbing at the main supply line. Every installation is sized to your household's water use and the contaminants present in your water. Call us to schedule a water assessment for your home.

Water Filtration System Installation FAQ

Common questions about water filtration system installation in New Jersey.

Yes, a water test tells us exactly which contaminants are present so we can install the right system for your home. Homes in Mendham and surrounding areas can have very different water profiles depending on whether they use a private well or municipal supply.

Yes, we install whole-house systems in homes with older plumbing by connecting the unit to the main supply line after the shut-off valve. We assess your existing plumbing in Morristown before recommending the right setup for your home.

Municipal water in Summit and Westfield can carry chlorine and disinfection byproducts that affect taste and smell. A whole-house carbon filtration system addresses these issues at every tap in your home.

Yes, that odor is typically caused by hydrogen sulfide, which a properly selected filtration system can treat. We test your well water in Chester first to confirm the source and match the right treatment to your specific conditions.

Yes, we install water filtration systems in Jersey City, Hoboken, and Bayonne. Urban homes in these areas often benefit from point-of-use or whole-house carbon systems that reduce chlorine and improve drinking water quality.

Common signs include white scale deposits on fixtures, spots on dishes, and reduced water flow from mineral buildup in pipes. A water test for your Basking Ridge or Bernards home will confirm hardness levels and guide the right treatment choice.

My family has called on Aumenta Plumbing for years! And they have always provide excellent service. In June, we had to have a toilet replaced and a kitchen faucet installed. They discovered during the toilet replacement, that one of our old pipes had been decaying. They were able to include that repair on the same day. Then more recently, we needed our bathtub unclogged and they came right away. My family and I are so glad that Carmine's sons have continued the business and the level of service quality that their father provided. Highly recommend!

As the owner of a historic single family home in Jersey City, since 2014, I have turned to Ben and his family for all my plumbing needs— from boiler maintenance to major work and even emergencies. This family run business has always been there with top quality work and professionalism. I highly recommend Aumenta.

Ben Aumenta handled our job, everything with our hot water heather replacement job was quick and clear. We had an issue with the exhaust pipe on our previous hot water heater so Ben made sure he could fit us in asap to replace the whole set up. He also noticed that the condensation pipe from our HVAC system was dropped on an angle that would make draining difficult and he propped it up for us even though we hadn't hired him for the HVAC. Great attention to detail and care for the customer, we're really happy. Communication from Aumenta was excellent - email and text notifications when the estimate was scheduled as well as when the install was happening, so we always knew what to expect. We'd definitely recommend them!

Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish! From the very first call, the receptionist was professional, prompt, and genuinely sweet. She made what could have been a stressful situation feel completely effortless. Even though we called last minute, they kindly squeezed us into their schedule and were true to their word on the arrival time. Our plumber from Carmine P. Aumenta & Sons Plumbing-Heating was an absolute pleasure — kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. He got the job done quickly while making us feel completely at ease. This is exactly how a family business should operate: with warmth, expertise, and total reliability. They are most certainly making their late father proud. We will happily call Carmine P. Aumenta & Sons for any future plumbing or heating needs. Highly, highly recommend!

My sister recommended Aumenra Plumbing to me last year. I had them come and replace my hot water heater and repair an issue with my furnace. They were efficient and reasonably priced. I called them this year to replace the connection for my garden hose and then to add a water line for my washing machine. I am more than pleased with their work and recommend them highly.
